We are really excited about this release! Here’s Louis La Roche remix of Aeroplane‘s new single titled “In Her Eyes” feat. Jamie Principle. Aeropop is a new label founded by Vito (Aeroplane) and this new single marks the beginning of a new era for the Nu Disco scene. At least that’s what we’re hoping! We have been teased enough with this one, and finally it is already available on iTunes since yesterday. The whole package includes remixes by Chopstick & Johnjon, Louis La Roche, Tiger & Woods, and there’s also a free remix from Beni, which is available for free in exchange of a like via Aeropop’s Facebook. We’re truly hoping that with this new label might refresh and bring more a lot more exposure to the Nu Disco scene. I’m pretty sure that Vito’s knows what’s the right path, and for sure he will introduce to us new producers. Stay tuned for more Aeropop releases!

Just when I thought Lonsdale Boys Club‘s track “Light Me Up” couldn’t get any better after Grum got his hands on it, Louis La Roche comes out with this fantastic new remix of their hit song. In comparison to his contemporary’s remix, this one by LLR is a lot more funky and laid back. A tune that is perfect to listen to by the side of a pool, in a park, or on a beach. But you can be sure wherever this is being listened to, they’ll be people dancing and having a good time!

From time to time i like to see what “kids are doing on the playground”. There is always a new dude making something fresh. Last years there are a few names we all remember such as Louis La Roche or even Kamei. Last week i found Pleasurelove, and i have been enjoying his remix for “Talking About You” from Alexandre Louvré (another kid from Mexico, which we will talk in soon).

Pleasurelove aka Florian Maillet is a 18 year old boy from Lyon. We had a litle chat on facebook and he told me he used to produce electro, and 3 months ago decided to produce some sweet french house. Can you believe in this? Only three monts and he has already awesome stuff on his soundcloud. Really got me!

For what i read on his soundcloud he is deeply inspired by artists such as Daft punk, Le Kinght Club or even Mr. Oizo. But also, this new wave of French producers like Darius, Kartell, Louis La Roche and many others…. I’m always enthusiastic about these new projects. Seems like these kids nowadys already know what to do, or maybe, he is just French and it’s on his blood. Who knows? Anyway, enjoy…….!!!

Finally, i’m going to write about one of most prodigious producers of the “french touch” i have been listening, not for a long time, because he his very young. Obviously, i’m “talking” about the great Brett Ewels aka Louis La Roche. NO, he his not french. He is from Norwich, Uk. I will try to organize myself on this post, because there are lots of things i want to say about him.
I’m going to start with his age. When this dude appeared, no one believed he had only 17. I’m not talking about a kid that is making cool stuff and then disappears, i’m talking about someone who started to produce quality music and… never stopped.
I clearly remember his first released track called “Love” which had a huge impact. It was posted on the Erol Alkan’s forum as TB. It was widely reported as the brand new solo material from Thomas Bangalter from Daft Punk. A few days later, Louis came out and assumed he had done it. And this is when his “Odyssey” begins…

After this awesome track, produced at home, he starts to pump us with a lot of quality work. Actually his music has a lot of groove based, somewhere between 80’s, B-boy electro and modern disco. Louis use and abuse of filters, effects and slap basses. Always innovating and making his music more and more fresh!
Since 2008 he has done a lot of work. “The Peach”, “Me & Her”, “Number One” and “My Turn” are the EP’s he has released. Also, many other releases on several compilations like “Millenium Disco” or “Playboy Sessions: Las Vegas”. Well, talking about his remixes… this is a lot of work, LOL. Just to finish my post about Louis La Roche, I will leave you his latest mixtape called “Scenery”, which is full of his ideas of edits, remixes and songs. There is no track list and the main reason for this, is to give an experience of short songs that creates a journey for the listener. This is the first part of a trilogy released May 1st 2011, part 2 coming June 1st.

Teenage Bade Girl is one of my favorites ever. I’m so happy to write about this because i feel that they haven’t change their style which is an aspect i admire so much these days. Everything we expect from them is in Keep Up With You. The remixes from the genius of Lifelike or Louis La Roche makes me feel anxious to listen to everything!
This is just a minimix to be released by Citizen Records on Feb 14. I’m sure this is going to be played in clubs all over the world!
