A while ago the release of “Bang That” made us dream about the second and hugely awaited album by Disclosure. Guy and Howard Lawrence just gave us a treat while the LP was on progress. And what a treat! “Bang that” has been part of the brothers’ DJ sets and we can understand why – the track is just perfect for the dance floor. The beat, the vocals and the repetitiveness are perfectly balanced and will make the most shy-ones dance like nobody‘s watching.
What we didn’t expect at all was the early release of the first single for the upcoming album “Caracal”, which will be out on September 25th. “Holding On” counts with “the next big male vocal jazz star” – Gregory Porter – and has Disclosure written all over it! It’s incredible how can the UK duo be so distinct and can live up to the expectations made by “Settle”. With a sophisticated and eclectic touch, this track gives you the feeling that you matter, that you are special, that you are unique in some way.
But that’s not all! The UK duo wants to reaffirm its distinctiveness and just released the first of four connected music videos. The music plays the narrator of the visuals which exhibit a dark, repressed world, where some kind of revolution is being set and only a few ones can do it. The video, under the direction of Ryan Hope, shows an amazing photography, with a great cast and the perfect bonding with the song. We can´t wait for the outcome of this story!
