There’s something about Shlohmo‘s music that unconsciously seems to enthrall the listener to repeat his productions over and over again. The Los Angeles producer has definitely created something special and unique. Ok, we do assume that it’s not an easy style, but, if you give it a chance you’ll find yourself lost between the incredible atmosphere conveyed through his music. This time we’re being gifted with an intense remix of Perera Elsewhere‘s excellent “Light Bulb.” The single is taken from the London born Berlin based producer/singer songwriter “Everlast” LP, released last year via FoF Music. The remix brings all the best you can hear from Shlomo’s golden midas touch. If you’re familiarized with his music, you’ll instantly embrace the piece, basically, because it works like a resume of his best cuts. For instance, you’ll easily find familiar sounds from the excellent remix he did of Nicolas Jaar’s “Rained The Whole Time” |listen here| or even from Jeremih’s fantastic song “fuck u all the time” |listen here|. This remix is superbly well designed! It’s obvious that the Los Angeles native didn’t care much about using the stems package from the original. Instead, he decided to rebuild the instrumental part, and also added his classical bass vocal. The result is truly interesting, since the original is light and classy. Listen to the piece below, and buy the Deluxe Edition of Perera Elsewhere’s album, which includes a new original, as well as the entire album remixed by the likes of Prefuse 73, Planningtorock, Antipop Consortium and more. Superb!
