Golden Scissors

Here at Golden Scissors, we usually try to keep the music we post as diverse as possible. Usually, this means we rarely post more than one remix of a particular song. We feel that doing so is slightly overkill, and prevents us from showcasing work that’s more original. Even with that said, there are always exceptions to the rule, and Bondax‘s latest remix of Duke Dumont’s “I Got U” is one of them! And what an exception this one is! As if the song couldn’t be anymore of a summer anthem, Bondax have taken their signature assortment of moist-sounding basslines and funky melodies, and have completely enhanced the energy of the original in every way possible.

In their latest effort, it also seems that the UK duo have been hanging out a lot with their French buddies at Roche Musique. I don’t know if the gents have caught the nu-disco bug or what, but there is certainly a strong French influence within this remix. I’m not saying that this is a bad thing by any means, it just sort of took me by surprise. Maybe this is just the next step in the young lads’ development. If it is, it looks as if the sky is the limit for these guys. Is there anything these guys can’t do?
