Broken Bells - Holding on for life (Solomun Rmx)

Solomun has been on a high note and today he unveils a new remix for the almighty Broken Bells. This Hamburg based Bosnian producer seems to be hitting all the right buttons and when Resident Advisor writes something like this, “Solomun has played a major role in redefining European House Music […] adding a fresh, ultramodern twist to the genre”, you know you want to listen to it.
Broken Bells have a new album, “After the disco”, that was released not more than a month ago. They have been providing us with a couple of singles from it and this was the first to come out of it.
Solomun shifts the song in it’s axis while keeping a little of that melancholic mood present in the original. It’s really good to see the changes done here, with very smart edits, an echoed voice effect and a steady pace this is most definitely one to add to our list of indie remixes. Coming out on the 24th of this month, it also includes it’s big brother, the Club version. Let’s hope we get a chance of more remixes of Broken Bells work to come out like this one.
