Holy Sounday Golden Family!
For today’s Sunday we have a great set of smooth sounds that we’ve been listening on repeat over here at Golden Scissors. As usual we’re featuring tracks from some of our favorite producers. Following the same ideology of our previous editions, we’re posting music from people that totally deserves attention and love from all of us. All tracks are available as free download. You can download one at the time, or the entire set below. Just scroll down a little and enjoy our proposals for a relaxed and peaceful day.
HOLY SOUNDAY – CHAPTER 12 – DOWNLOAD THE ENTIRE SET HERE ///
The first track of our set comes straight from the cold city of Stockholm, Sweden. “I’ll Be Gone” is the latest single from Up To No Good, which is a duo that has been producing music essentially for Swedish rappers and singers. A couple days ago, they launched their own label called OOOO Music and started to do things under their own moniker. “I’ll Be Gone” is sampled from A-ha’s classic hit “I’ll Be Gone,” and the truth is that we’re honestly in love for it. We also decided to attach to the post the awesome video, directed by Martin Löfqvist.
“Afterthoughts” is the leading single from Los Angeles producer Romo latest EP. It wasn’t easy for us to pick a favorite, since the whole set is very good. According to the producers own words: “This project is a collection of works created throughout the previous year, reflecting on unique moments in my journey of growth and discovery. Each song captures a different experience and feeling, but they all connect in their contributions toward the person I am becoming today. My deep and sincere gratitude goes out to everyone who has supported me through the ups and downs, and to all the listeners of this album.” What else can we say?
More love from Australia! We’ve been anxious to share this remix from Melbourne duo, Friendships, of Japanese Wallpaper’s “Breathe In.” The original is already beautiful, but we’re fairly impressed by the vocal rework, and also by the general atmosphere of the song. This piece is taken from Japanese Wallpaper’s remix EP for the single, and it also includes more renditions from Hanami, Elkkle, and Electric Sea Spider. Also, the package is available as a pay what you want download, with all proceeds going towards UNICEF’s typhoon Haiyan children’s emergency appeal. Category five Typhoon Haiyan struck the Philippines at 4.30am local time on Friday 8 November forcing millions of people to seek shelter. Latest estimates indicate up to 5 million children may have been impacted by the disaster. Donate here.
We don’t much about the producer LOOK, but we do know that his single “Home” is magical. The piece is quite simple, but it’s truly catchy, and, at the end of the first minute there’s a gorgeous piano intro that instantly will make you repeat it. Usually people say “Less is more.” We couldn’t agree more! We liked so much this track, that we even uploaded ourselves on our YouTube channel. So sweet!
TWOS – Blur |download here| ///
TWOS is not a newcomer for us anymore. We’ve been posting almost religiously everything that he has been delivering. “Blur” was exclusively produced for a free compilation called “WINTΞR WINDS,” released via SVNSET WΛVES. You will find inside many other producers that we have been supporting, such as Box Of Wolves , Real Cosby, Xed, among others. Just like his previous productions, “Blur” will instantly call your attention for its amazing quality production together with an amazing lazy and mellow guitar. Superb, once again!
