2013 is being a great year so far for the London-based producer Mike Greene (aka Fort Romeau). We’ve been gifted already with an excellent redemption of Holy Other’s “Held” |download here|, as well as, the excellent 2-track EP “Jetée / Desire” |listen here| released last month on Ghostly International. Today Gold Panda dropped on Soundcloud a remix from his label pal Fort Romeau for the single “Community,” which is the track number five of Panda’s excellent album “Half Of Where You Live.” As we all know Ghostly International is one of the biggest and most respected communities around the globe. It’s quite interesting to see their own producers working together and reworking their own sound without leaving the circle. Mike Greene’s rework of the piece we present you today brings all the best from deep inside of the heart of Ghostly International. Despite going to deep (house), we can feel an intention of leaving almost intact the feeling of the original track. If you’re familiarized with the original, you’ll instantly embrace this new version, especially for the different moments during its progression. The piano-synth-line is absolutely delicious, harmoniously embellished with very well craft small appointments all over the piece. Make sure to buy your copy via Ghostly.com. Excellent.
