Golden Scissors

When we listen to The Outrunners, instantly we think about College, Anoraak and all the other members of Valérie Collective. French duo Stephen Falken and Pierre de la Touche are on top of my preferences, not just as musicians, but also for their relevance in the art of recreating the sound of the 80′s. Definitely, they started a movement that still lasts. Example. Not so long ago we premiered their latest remix of L’Equipe du Son’s “She was a Dancer” (….listen here….). Today I’m revisiting “Diamonds,” which is one of my all-time favorite songs. This single is taken off their “Running For Love And Money” EP, released in 2010 via Flexx Records. This track starts with a long intro, all the way driven by cool synth sounds. Around 1:36, there’s a warm and bass line that slowly fades away introducing an epic moment, which is only the first of many along the track. Pure bliss. If it’s the first you’re listening to this song, you will totally replay it for a long period of time….
