During 2011 i’ve been listening to Oliver‘s music literally on repeat mode. It’s quite impressive the way this LA-based duo has been dropping one bomb after another. Their consistency as producers is quite impressive. I could easily enumerate 3 or 4 tracks that in my personal opinion are the best jams of last year. We are starting 2012 and they are already doing great stuff. This new EP has been widely promoted all over the world. It’s fair enough to say they really deserve it, not just because of their music, but also for all those tracks they have been giving for free. This blog post is the way i found to thank them for all this amazing music. I don’t think i’m exaggerating when i say they are at the moment one of the best producers worldwide….
The original track is very Oliver style. It starts with a sexy female sample followed by a robotized male’s voice. The ambient created with these vocals takes me back to 2004, when these kind of “tricks” were often used. It’s very catchy and makes us feel anxious to see what is going to happen next. The intensity keeps growing until 1:36 and then bang, that’s where the first moment of ecstasy comes. After this first moment, the vocals are back, maybe for you to take a rest from all that power. At 2:37 there is a huge break, you may think it will slow down a little, but no Sir. It grows up into another banger rave king moment. This track is very solid and well constructed with two moments that takes us directly to dancefloor. Definitely a track that will be played all over the world!

Oliver – Dirty TalkBlack Van‘s remix is more “relaxed”… takes us into an imaginary world of fantasy, colors and like usual pure sexy pleasure. Again, this is a huge work KoweSix & Kris Menace did here. They kept both vocal’s and gave them some echo, that’s why it sounds so sexy. At 1:22 something the beauty of this track invades our ears. It’s so beautiful that makes me feel breathless and keeps on until 2:28 where there is a small break. That’s when you know something is about to happen, they repeat the first “paragraph”. I was about to go back to check that first part, but it wasn’t really necessary because they make sure to repeat it. After listening this track, i’m sure you are going to replay it. It’s impossible to be indifferent to it.

Oliver – Dirty Talk (Black Van Remix)The Punks Jump Up dudes made also an amazing job here. You know these guys weren’t ashamed to play with this track. Like usual they have poisoned it with their inconfundible formula. Always very funny and full of good mood. I’ve been listening to them since ever. This remix is also a winner! They turned this track into a “mess”. Their version is not ecstatic with a solid beat like the original. They start their remix with a built that grows until the 1st minute. Then comes the funny part with congas and bunch of stuff that i don’t even know what it is. Punks Jump music is always very “intuitive” they give the idea they don’t really care, but in the end it sounds epic. Great remix!!!

Oliver – Dirty Talk (Punks Jump Remix)Finally we have “Walk With Me”. Actually this track is from the beginning of 2011. It was released as free download, and hey! These guys need money too. This is my favorite track they have produced. I have played this more than 100 times. I love this track so much that i can stop replaying. It’s strong, sexy and slowwww. But it’s also a bomb on the dancefloor. Everytime i play this, i know i will shake the dancefloor. In my opinion this is the perfect track for any DJ Set.

Oliver – Walk With MeI don’t know if this is going to be the best EP of 2012, but for what i have been listening, for sure it is going to a huge success. In my opinion this is going to be played everywhere by everyone. I can’t stop listening to it over and over again. This amazing work is going to be released on January 16th on Kitsuné, stay tuned!!!
