Homework is formed by the dutch duo Tom Waist and Zip Stolk. They have started their career in 2007. At that time, they were just two kids who used to perform with white shirts and raven black ties.
Since that time of young kids, they have started to innovate, always with their vintage sources as an inspiration. When i say innovate, i mean they have been doing it with a lot class, amplitude and madness. If you start to go back on their productions, you will clearly notice this gradual evolution. We can say “Fissa Tune EP” was their catapult to the spotlight, which was widely acclaimed by everyone. This EP got attention and support by names like Brodinski, Crookers, Round Table Knights and many others….
After that bomb, they came out with “Hudson Square EP”. Maybe for many people this EP was not what they were expecting from Homework. In my personal opinion, i believe they grown up and showed everyone they were not just kids who wanted to be famous with tracks like “Fissa Tune”. This Ep was touching different feelings and styles. After this release they started to play all over the world. These dudes were really shacking the world!
About this new EP i’m very happy to see they didn’t stop in time and kept innovating. I was not expecting other thing from these two awesome producers. You can notice they are not kids anymore searching for fame. They have reached very high because they have worked very hard to reach this stage of their career. I’m tired to listen people comparing their work to Daft Punk or any other reference. These guys doesn’t have anything else to prove. They are Homework, and they are an excellent duo,period.
