Just a Number 05272011 is the maximum of personal information that you going to get about this guys, guy, girl, chicks, duo, trio, quartet, band… (For writing confort i’ll assume it’s plural). They showed up on Soundcloud 2 months ago with an original song named Pain, and THAT’S ALL FOLKS!!!! (said the rabbit). Got curious and turned on my personal satellites over Mars which found an amazing tune that wasn’t on Soundcloud – “He didn’t Want a Love Song”. Ouchhh! Just glued on it.
After listening to it over and over i guess it must come from Northern Europe…it has a slowtempo-indie-alternative style that i enjoy so much. There’s a girl there (almost certain!) singing striking lyrics with an amazing voice, combining a kind of ingenuity with excentric accent. There’s here and there some comparisons with The Knife and Karin Dreijer Andersson, but honestly i don’t feel the need for that matching, even if there is a true correlation i feel this song as well as “Pain” stand for themselves in a place of their own…maybe The Isle of Man.
As far as i know 27th May will be a revelation day for this “entity”… maybe an LP, maybe some hint on their names or hair color or height and weight,have no idea… anyway i’m following THEM on Facebook, one never knows, i may end up winning a Mercedes Benz!!!
