Some guys have all the luck others have all the talent… Matthew Dear comes in this second class of people. Since early days he showed to the world his abilities , who can ever forget, still in the nineties “Hands up for detroit”? Since then more then 70 releases mostly released by his own labels (Gosthly International and Spectral Sounds) came out. This guy has million faces all of them “pretty cute”…you can find him as Audion or Jabberjaw or even False. Nevertheless pleasure is always quite real when one listens to his work. His versatility is amazing and obvious in his original works as well as in the way he has remixed from Dubfire to Hot Chip and plus The XX, Chemical Brothers and so on… Cutting the bullshit and my Wikipedia moment i’ll go to the point …
YOU PUT A SMELL ON ME…a tenth part of the awesome Black City LP, this song it’s truly addictive. Not only for the fact that i rather have a smell on me than a spell (overrated this days) but also ’cause this tune has a perfect combination of dark seduction and power. Be careful if you put this on and you turn your lights off …

P.S. Must tell you that i’ve heard that listening to Matthew Dear has made some people plant their crosses over the bed, claiming that there are no more possible vices beyond his music…:D
